The latest on childcare funding

September 1st, 2024

We understand that covering the cost of childcare isn't always easy, but the good news is that there a number of government initiatives that can help support families during their time at Partou. And from September 2024, that support just got better!

No matter which stage you're at in your childcare journey, we're here to help by making it as easy as possible to understand what support you can get with your childcare costs.

What Childcare support is currently available (September 2024)

15 Hours Funded Childcare

  • Subject to meeting the Government’s eligibility criteria, working families and those receiving additional support can access 15 hours a week funded childcare during term time
  • All 3 and 4-year-olds living in England are entitled to 15 hours a week funded childcare for 38 weeks of the year during term-time.
  • Eligible working families can access 15 hours per week for children aged 9 months up to 3 years old.

30 Hours Funded Childcare

  • Eligible working families are entitled to up to 30 Hours Funded Childcare during term time – that’s 1,140 hours a year!
What enhancements to childcare funding can you expect

Next year, the Government will increase the funding hours available available to working families for children aged 9 months up to 3 years old.

  • From September 2025, eligible working parents of children aged 9 months up to 3 years old can access 30 hours funded childcare per week.
How to redeem your childcare funding code

To benefit from the new childcare funding support during your time at Partou, you must redeem a funded childcare code. This can be completed in five simple steps as outlined by the Department for Education’s application guide.
