A key reason why people decide to work in childcare is that it can be an extremely fulfilling vocation.
This was the case for Kim Stanfield who joined the team at Partou Playaway seven years ago with the aim of making a positive impact on the lives of the next generation.
In her most recent role as the nursery’s Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator, Kim has worked to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive nursery environment. Through her efforts, she has not only allowed children to thrive but has also developed excellent relationships with families, providing expert support and peace of mind.
And when local radio station, Your Harrogate, asked the community to nominate deserving people within the town to win a special treat, one family saw a perfect opportunity to thank Kim for her dedication.
The nomination read:
“Kim has helped me and my little boy in his SEND journey from the start – and she’s still helping now.
From the big things to the little things, she’s always there for us in person and on the phone no matter what time.
As a SEND mum she has been my rock!”
As a special ‘thank you’ for Kim’s efforts, Radio Presenter, Pete Egerton, visited the nursery to hand deliver afternoon tea supplied by Mama Doreens Emporium, a local business who specialise in sweet treats.
Everybody at Partou is extremely proud of Kim for the positive approach that she continues to implement at Playaway Day Nursery and Pre-School.
