Benefits to attending a Nursery Open Day

July 29th, 2024

Choosing the right nursery for your child can be a challenge.

Visiting nurseries, meeting the people who work there, and experiencing the environments can be incredibly helpful in making the best decision for you and your family.

That's why we hold regular open days throughout the year, allowing families to visit us at a time that is convenient to them.

What is a Nursery Open Day?

Seeing a nursery and understanding what it’s like plays a key role in deciding whether a nursery is right for you and your family.

To make it as easy as possible to visit our nurseries, we hold Open Days throughout the year.

Our doors are open on a Saturday up to 4 times a year (when we’re ordinarily closed) because we know it can be a more convenient day for you to come in and see us.

An open day provides families with the opportunity to explore a nursery’s environment whilst learning more about how it operates and the people within it.

It’s also a great opportunity to let your child roam around, play and see how they interact with the nursery environment and our team.

If you want to see our nurseries in full flow or it’s easier for you to visit us in the week, then we also increase the number of tours and visits we accommodate during the weeks closest to our open day.

But rest assured, nursery tours are available all year-round if weekdays work best for you.

What to expect from a Partou Nursery Open Day

On the day you’ll:

  • Have a tour of the nursery
  • Meet the nursery team
  • Learn about our approach to care, learning and development

Nursery tour: Every Partou nursery features environments that inspire children. On your tour, you’ll see lots of different areas set up, all filled with activities designed to intrigue and entice children to join in.

Meet the nursery team: Even more important than a nursery’s environment are the people behind it. During our Open Days, you can meet the team at your local nursery and ask any questions you may have about the care that they provide and how they deliver it.

Our approach to care, learning & development: Every Partou nursery has its own setting, in its own location, within its own community. But visit any one of them, anywhere in the UK, and you’ll find the same set of shared values. We follow a child-led approach to learning and development and who better to learn from about this than the team that deliver it, it’s something our team is very passionate about.

Questions to ask on a Nursery Open Day

Open Days are the perfect opportunity to ask any unanswered questions you may have. Here’s 10 popular questions we receive during open days:

  • What’s a typical day at the nursery like?
  • What support is available when it comes to paying nursery fees?
  • What food and meals will my child be served?
  • What extra-curricular activities does the nursery do?
  • What safeguarding measures are in place?
  • What are the views and opinions of families who already use the nursery?
  • How will the nursery get my child ready for ‘big school’?
  • How will the nursery support the individual needs of my child?
  • How do I keep up to date with my child’s progress at nursery?
  • How do I secure a place at the nursery?

When is the next Partou Open Day?

Our next Partou Open Day is on Saturday the 16th November. We’ll also be opening our doors on Friday the 15th and Monday the 18th for those who can’t make the day.

To manage demand, and make sure families get quality time with our team, please book a time to come and see us prior to arrival.
