Partou Little Faces Day Nursery & Pre-School, formerly part of the Little Faces Nursery Group, has been caring for children in Hazel Grove since 2010. Many of our team members have been with us for most of that time, helping to create a familiar and consistent environment for children and families.
While we have the facilities and resources of a large nursery, we remain focused on providing a personal experience for every family. Children benefit from familiar faces throughout the nursery, with team members taking the time to get to know them as individuals. We’ve been rated Outstanding by Ofsted at our last two inspections, most recently in 2023. From the very beginning, we help children develop strength, coordination and confidence through movement and play. Independence is woven into everyday life, whether that’s a baby learning to use a spoon or older children serving themselves at mealtimes. We also surround children with books in all kinds of unexpected places, helping to spark a genuine love of reading that stays with them long after they leave.
Ofsted highlighted our support for children with special educational needs and disabilities as one of our strengths. Our SENDCo works closely with families to understand each child’s needs and make sure the right support is in place, whether that involves adapting the environment, working on communication skills or bringing in specialist advice. We listen carefully when families have concerns and work together to find the best way forward. Through our strong links with local services, we can also help families access wider support when it’s needed.
Our two large indoor play areas give children plenty of space to run, climb, build and play, whatever the weather, which counts for a lot during a Greater Manchester winter. We also have a sensory room that children enjoy using as part of their day. Through sensory play and exploration, children develop physical and social skills, build emotional awareness and, most importantly, have fun. CCTV operates throughout the nursery giving families additional peace of mind.
Our two outdoor spaces are designed to support children at every stage of development, giving them opportunities to explore, take risks and learn through play. Outdoor experiences are an important part of our curriculum, helping children develop confidence, independence and resilience as they prepare for primary school.
Meals follow Partou’s seasonal three-week menu, developed with early years nutritionist Laura Matthews and freshly prepared on site. With plenty of variety, familiar favourites and a five-star food hygiene rating, children enjoy nutritious meals they’ll look forward to eating.
We welcome children from 7am to 6pm, with the core session running from 7am to 5pm and an additional session available between 5pm and 6pm. There is parking on site, and Hazel Grove station is a few minutes’ walk away for commuting families. Our app shares updates, photos and key moments from your child’s day, helping you stay connected while they’re with us.

Upon registration, you will be asked to pay a £75 registration fee (non-refundable) to reserve your child’s nursery place. This registration fee is payable by all families, unless taking up a Government funded only place (see terms and conditions for details).
What’s included in our fees?
Our full fees are clearly broken down into care, meals & snacks and consumables fees for full transparency.
Care fees include: trained, qualified team members taking care of your child, regular updates about your child and their progress at nursery, a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities tailored to the needs of your child, and use of the nursery building facilities.
Meals & snacks fees cover the cost of all food and drinks whilst your child is in our care. Meal and snack times are a very important part of Partou nursery life, learn more about how we make food and nutrition enjoyable and educational for children in our care.
Consumables include; important daily care items needed such as nappies, wet wipes and sun cream.
Discounts
Only one discount can be applied at any time:
- 5% discount for eldest child for siblings.
- 5% discount for Blue Light Card holders.
Other key information
- We’re closed on Bank Holidays.
- We close at 4pm on Christmas Eve.
- We’re closed between Christmas and New Year.
- Charges apply across 51 weeks of the year, including Bank Holidays.
Funded childcare
Partou Little Faces Day Nursery & Pre-School is proud to offer funded childcare places
Funded childcare is a government incentive fulfilled by Local Authorities which aims to provide financial support for eligible families accessing childcare at an OFSTED registered setting. Partou Little Faces Day Nursery & Pre-School work with Stockport Local Authority to apply childcare funding for eligible families.
Funding typically covers 15 or 30 hours per week for the 38 term weeks of the year across a maximum of 10 hours a day which will be applied in different ways depending how many weeks of the year your child is in childcare:
- Children who are in year-round childcare will receive “stretched” funding. This means that their 15/30 hours over 38 weeks will be stretched over 51 weeks of the year so children accessing year-round childcare at Partou Little Faces will receive 11.17/22.35 hours of funded childcare per week.
- Children who have term-time only childcare places will receive 15/30 hours funding per week over 38 weeks of the year. Term-time only places are limited and are subject to availability.
Government funding for childcare only applies to the care fee (as described above). Meals & snacks and consumables fees are fully chargeable for all sessions including funded.
