A day of laughter, smiles and love as Sutton Coldfield nursery raises cash for local charities

Partou Langley Gorse Day Nursery and Pre-school in Sutton Coldfield have raised almost £500 for local charities at their annual summer fete.  

Organised by Nursery Manager Holly Edwards and her team, the event was attended by family, carers, friends and local community groups.

With games for all ages, the also fete featured an impressive cake sale and a range of hot and cold drinks.

Set in a rural Georgian mansion a mile from the town centre, Partou Langley Gorse offers the benefits of a countryside location whilst being easy to reach for local parents.

Inside, its age-specific rooms are filled with natural resources that spark children’s imaginations.

Outside, its three acres of private land feature nature trails, climbing frames, sensory gardens and more to explore.

Holly Edwards said:

“Seeing our nursery summer fete come together for another year and watching the children, families and team members enjoy such a special day made all the hard work worth it.

“The event allows us to get involved with our local community and enables the team to spend time getting to know with families in a more informal setting, bringing everyone closer together.

“Importantly, it also links to our whole nursery curriculum.

“In total, we raised £462 for local charities close to our families’ hearts

“It was a truly amazing day full of laughter, smiles, love and so many memories.”
