Championing Dads: Father’s Day at our nurseries

June 13th, 2024

Father's Day is just around the corner, presenting a brilliant opportunity for Partou nurseries to appreciate the incredible role that fathers and father-figures play in young children's lives. Find out how we do so in our dedicated article.

Family fun for Father’s Day

At Partou, we are extremely proud of the great relationships that we have with our families! And we think that there’s no better time to welcome them into our settings than on the build up to Father’s Day.

Throughout our nurseries, you’ll notice a series of events from stay and play sessions to special Father’s Day breakfasts which the whole family can enjoy.

Nursery activities during Father’s Day Week

As well as inviting families into our nurseries, we also celebrate the occasion by tailoring our activities throughout the week.

So don’t be offended if your child doesn’t bring home a handcrafted Father’s day card home from nursery. If they want to make a card they can do, but if not, they won’t be under any pressure from us to make one. Instead, we encourage them to share what they enjoy doing most with their dads and plan play-based activities around their responses.

A great time for story-time

Father’s day is a wonderful time to promote storytelling and discussions around families.

Our nursery teams will often read books or share stories on different family set ups to aid children’s learning. Your child may also be asked to share loving stories about their own family to their dedicated key person.

Partou wishes everyone celebrating a wonderful Father’s Day! Whether you are a father, celebrating a father, grandfather, or another paternal figure, or remembering a father or inspirational man who has passed away, we hope you have a fantastic Father’s Day!
