Why choose Partou Little People Day Nursery & Pre-School in Burnley?

Located on Piccadilly Road, just a short walk from Manchester Road Train Station, Partou Little People provides exceptional day nursery care and early years education to families throughout Burnley.

We are delighted to have a long-standing, well experienced team which our families often comment on in reviews. This provides and stable, consistent and nurturing environment which sees us welcoming siblings into the nursery which really brings a community feel.

Children at Little People Nursery benefit from experiences such as nature walks, seasonal fruit and veg growing, visits from petting zoos and theatres as well as hatching ducklings in addition to the every day early years learning and play activities

Our large spacious rooms are neutrally decorated to ensure our displays of children’s work take centre stage and that we provide the perfect canvas for sparking curiosity and wonder in little minds.

Little People Nursery team members embrace the Partou child-led ethos by paying close attention to children’s interests and experiences outside of nursery and crafting learning activities to compliment these. We love seeing how little minds respond to these early years learning opportunities and the direction they take this inspiration in. You can see some examples of our adventures on our Partou Little People Day Nursery and Pre-School Facebook page.

We have a Qualified Teacher in our pre-school which provides the children with high-quality teaching and structure as well as excellent foundations for preparing for primary school.

Funded childcare

Partou Little People Street Day Nursery & Pre-School is proud to offer funded childcare places

Funded childcare is a government incentive fulfilled by Local Authorities which aims to provide financial support for eligible families accessing childcare at an OFSTED registered setting. Partou Little People Street Day Nursery & Pre-School work with Lancashire Local Authority to apply childcare funding for eligible families.

Funding typically covers 15 or 30 hours per week for the 38 term weeks of the year across a maximum of 10 hours a day which will be applied in different ways depending how many weeks of the year your child is in childcare:

  • Children who are in year-round childcare will receive “stretched” funding. This means that their 15/30 hours over 38 weeks will be stretched over 51 weeks of the year so children accessing year round childcare at Partou Little People will receive 11.17/22.35 hours of funded childcare per week.
  • Children who have term-time only childcare places will receive 15/30 hours funding per week over 38 weeks of the year. Term-time only places are limited and are subject to availability.

Government funding for childcare only applies to the care fee (as described above). Meals & snacks and consumables fees are fully chargeable for all sessions including funded.

Many families are eligible for government funded childcare, see our childcare funding guide for more information.
