Why choose Partou Natures Day Nursery & Pre-School in Sunninghill?

Located in Sunninghill, just two miles outside of Ascot, Partou Natures provides a unique day nursery experience to families throughout the local area.

As our name suggests, nature is at the heart of everything we do. Surrounded by two acres of natural grounds, we provide enriching learning experiences in our well-resourced learning environment which includes a large sand pit, a mud kitchen and even a forest area that the children love to explore in. Outdoor play is an important part of the early years curriculum as it provides children with opportunities to build confidence, resilience and motor skills as well as fostering a love for nature and a respect for the world around them.

Our bright and airy rooms are filled with natural light and play materials including home-from-home role play toys and climbing apparatus to help children’s imagination to thrive as well as build their social and motor skills through play. We also have a large car park to make nursery drop-offs and pick-ups as safe and convenient as possible.

Early years nutrition is an important part of nursery life and our 3-week rotating seasonal menus have been developed in partnership with Laura Matthews, an Early Years Nutrition Expert, to ensure that our food is nutritious, delicious and supports children’s well-being. Food is cooked fresh onsite every day and gives children the chance to explore a greater range of flavours, textures, and tastes at every meal.

Our dedicated nursery team are all paedeatric first aid trained and refresh this throughout the year. Our team love learning about children’s interests and experiences so that they can carefully curate early years learning activities which appeal to these which ensure children enjoy learning through play. We understand the value of strong partnerships with families to help children develop and grow with confidence, so we offer stay and play sessions and extra activities for families to come in and enjoy arts, crafts and play with children whilst experiencing nursery life.

We understand that every family’s childcare needs are different, and finding the right pattern of care can sometimes feel confusing. At Partou Natures Day Nursery & Pre-School, we are proud to offer both year-round and term time only childcare. This means families can choose the option that best fits their routines and preferences, while still benefiting from the funding in the way that works for them. Our Family Care Team will be happy to guide you through this process.

Funded childcare

Partou Natures Day Nursery & Pre-School is proud to offer funded childcare places

Funded childcare is a government incentive fulfilled by Local Authorities which aims to provide financial support for eligible families accessing childcare at an OFSTED registered setting. Partou Natures Day Nursery & Pre-School work with Windsor & Maidenhead Local Authority to apply childcare funding for eligible families.

Funding typically covers 15 or 30 hours per week for the 38 term weeks of the year across a maximum of 10 hours a day which will be applied in different ways depending how many weeks of the year your child is in childcare:

  • Children who are in year-round childcare will receive “stretched” funding. This means that their 15/30 hours over 38 weeks will be stretched over 51 weeks of the year so children accessing year round childcare at Partou Natures will receive 11.17/22.35 hours of funded childcare per week.
  • Children who have term-time only childcare places will receive 15/30 hours funding per week over 38 weeks of the year. Term-time only places are limited and are subject to availability.

Government funding for childcare only applies to the care fee (as described above). Meals & snacks and consumables fees are fully chargeable for all sessions including funded.

Many families are eligible for government funded childcare, see our childcare funding guide for more information.
