Why choose Partou Kingsway Day Nursery & Pre-School in St. George?
Ideally located for parents in the Hanham, Kingswood and St. Georges areas of Bristol, Partou Kingsway is a high-quality provider of Early Years care and education.
Dedicated to providing children with the best possible start to their educational journeys, we make great use of our fabulous indoor and outdoor environments to plan exciting, engaging learning activities that reflect the individual needs and interests of each child.
Our large, open rooms are neutrally decorated and filled with natural resources which allow children’s imagination to take centre stage at this important phase in their early years’ development. Our nursery team love learning about children’s interests and activities and use these to curate meaningful and engaging learning activities which ensure children are at the heart of their learning.
Children love our Sensory Room which provides the opportunity to emotionally regulate in a calming environment. The soft lighting and tactile activities help children to unwind and relax whilst also exploring different sensory experiences and building their confidence.
Our newly refurbished garden is well resourced for outdoor learning and play and children love dreaming up new recipes in our new mud kitchen. Outdoor learning is great for nurturing children’s confidence and independence as well as building important social and physical skills and providing plenty of opportunities for fun.
We love celebrating diversity and embrace the beautifully varied cultural backgrounds of our nursery community. Sharing stories, traditions, and experiences from different cultures helps children feel proud of their own background while becoming curious and respectful toward others. It strengthens their empathy, builds confidence, and creates an environment where differences are understood and celebrated.
Food and nutrition are an important part of nursery life and our 3-week rotating seasonal menus gives children the opportunity to try new foods and build familiarity with different flavours. Our cook runs baking sessions with children which is great for building confidence with food, strengthening early maths skills through measuring ingredients and building social skills as children work together.
If you are looking for a nursery in Bristol which builds children’s confidence through learning and play and celebrates diversity – we think you’ll love Partou Kingsway Day Nursery & Pre-School in St. George!

Funded childcare
Partou Kingsway Day Nursery & Pre-School is proud to offer funded childcare places
Funded childcare is a government incentive fulfilled by Local Authorities which aims to provide financial support for eligible families accessing childcare at an OFSTED registered setting. Partou Kingsway Day Nursery & Pre-School work with Bristol Local Authority to apply childcare funding for eligible families.
Funding typically covers 15 or 30 hours per week for the 38 term weeks of the year across a maximum of 10 hours a day which will be applied in different ways depending how many weeks of the year your child is in childcare:
- Children who are in year-round childcare will receive “stretched” funding. This means that their 15/30 hours over 38 weeks will be stretched over 51 weeks of the year so children accessing year round childcare at Partou Kingsway will receive 11.17/22.35 hours of funded childcare per week.
- Children who have term-time only childcare places will receive 15/30 hours funding per week over 38 weeks of the year. Term-time only places are limited and are subject to availability.
Government funding for childcare only applies to the care fee (as described above). Meals & snacks and consumables fees are fully chargeable for all sessions including funded.
Many families are eligible for government funded childcare, see our childcare funding guide for more information.
