Located at The Spinney on Old Lodge Drive, Partou Old Town Day Nursery & Pre-School is a purpose-built nursery providing high-quality early years childcare and education in Beaconsfield. We’re just half a mile from both the town centre and Beaconsfield railway station, making us an easy choice for families who live or work locally, and we have on-site parking for safe and convenient drop-offs and pick-ups. Our most recent Ofsted inspection in September 2025 rated us Good, with inspectors noting that children arrive happy and confident and show a strong sense of belonging.
Partou Old Town is a smaller nursery which our families appreciate. Our team know every child well, not just the children in their key group, which creates a warm, homely atmosphere where children feel safe, settled and confident. Families often tell us it was this family feel that drew them to us in the first place, and it’s been a real privilege to welcome them back with younger siblings. Ofsted recognised the strong bonds children form with staff and praised the care and attentiveness our team show to every child’s individual needs.
Our large, spacious rooms are bright and well resourced, with activities carefully planned around children’s interests and next steps. Children have free-flow access to our garden throughout the day, which means outdoor learning isn’t limited to set times but is a natural, ongoing part of their experience. Our garden includes a woodland area where children explore nature, build dens and develop confidence in a more adventurous setting, a large sandpit for imaginative and sensory play, and raised garden beds where children grow their own vegetables and learn about where food comes from. These hands-on outdoor experiences support children’s physical development, curiosity, and understanding of the natural world.
We love getting children out into the local community as a great way to give them new experiences and build their confidence. Regular visits to our nearby residential home give children the chance to connect with older generations through singing and conversation. This is a wonderful experience for building empathy, social confidence, and communication skills as well as creating a sense of community.
Partnerships between the nursery and family are very important to us as we know these provide great foundations for children’s early years learning. Ofsted highlighted the positive partnerships we maintain with families and the open, effective communication that keeps everyone informed about their child’s daily experiences and progress. Weekly newsletters keep families up to date with what children have been learning, and our team are always available for a chat about how your child is getting on.
Our nursery kitchen holds a five-star food hygiene rating, and children enjoy fresh, healthy, and nutritious meals every day. Our seasonal rotating menu was developed in partnership with expert early years nutritionist, Laura Matthews, to ensure that children enjoy trying news tastes and textures alongside familiar favourites to nurture a positive relationship with food from a young age.
If you’re looking for a nursery in Beaconsfield with a genuine family feel, beautiful outdoor space, a caring team and a strong focus on early years learning, we’d love to welcome you to Partou Old Town Day Nursery & Pre-School.

For us at Partou, childcare isn’t just a job, it’s a journey – one where every child leads us in a unique new direction.
As part of the Netherlands’ largest childcare group, we’ve access to world-leading expertise in learning and development, so you can be confident your child will benefit from an experience as unique as they are.
Of course, care is as much about empathy as education, and ours is a child-led approach that emphasises building confidence and curiosity – so that every child in our care has the freedom to flourish.

We’re more than just a team; we’re a close community driven by our passion for childcare, and our commitment to each individual child’s development. We know that by working together, we’re stronger.
