Top tips for making the most of your nursery visit
We've compiled a list of popular questions families ask at nursery visits to help you when deciding which nursery to choose for your child's early years education.
Set in a beautiful, converted villa on Shrewsbury Road in the heart of Oxton Village, Partou Oxton Day Nursery & Pre-School has recently undergone a complete transformation following a significant investment of over £1 million. The result is a nursery that the Leader of Wirral Council described as a facility the area “can truly be proud of” – and we certainly agree! With brand new learning environments inside and out, Partou Oxton is an exciting place for children to learn, play and grow. We’re well connected for families across the Wirral, with Birkenhead Park and Birkenhead Central stations nearby and easy road access from Prenton, Claughton, Birkenhead and the wider Wirral.
Every room in the nursery has been carefully redesigned to create bright, spacious environments that inspire curiosity and creativity. From our calm and nurturing baby room through to our toddler and pre-school spaces, each area is filled with brand new resources tailored to the age and stage of the children using them. A real highlight is our purpose-built sensory room, designed to support inclusive learning and emotional wellbeing through regulation for all children. It’s a calm, immersive space that children across the nursery benefit from, whether they’re exploring lights and textures or simply finding a quiet moment in their day.
Outside, the nursery grounds have been completely landscaped to create a range of outdoor zones where children can climb, dig, splash and get stuck in. There are water play areas, climbing equipment and soft artificial grass surfaces – all designed to encourage physical development and imaginative play in the fresh air whilst supporting children to build confidence and independence. It’s the kind of outdoor space that children get genuinely excited about, and families regularly comment on how much their little ones love spending time outside here.
One of the things we’re proudest of at Partou Oxton is our team. Many of our staff have been with the nursery for a long time, and that continuity makes a real difference. Children build strong, trusting relationships with the people who care for them, and families get to know a team that genuinely understands their child. Our team support children to grow in confidence and independence as they move through the nursery towards school readiness, with learning activities that are thoughtfully planned around each child’s interests and experiences.
If you’re looking for nursery childcare in Oxton or the surrounding Wirral area with exceptional facilities, a dedicated team and an outdoor space children love – we’d love to show you around Partou Oxton Day Nursery & Pre-School.
