Why choose Partou Wonder Years Day Nursery & Pre-School in Coventry?

Located on Foleshill Road in Coventry, Partou Wonder Years Day Nursery & Pre-School provides high-quality early years childcare and education for families across Foleshill, Holbrooks, Radford and the wider Coventry area. We’re well connected by public transport with bus stops right outside the nursery and easy road access to the M6 via the A444, making us a great option for commuting families. We have our own private car park for safe and convenient drop-offs and pick-ups. The nursery underwent a full refurbishment in April 2025 and now offers seven spacious, beautifully resourced rooms and an inviting outdoor area where children enjoy daily child-led activities in the fresh air.

What makes Partou Wonder Years truly special is the community it serves and the way we reflect that in everything we do. Our team is bilingual and multilingual, which is a real asset for the many families in our community whose children are growing up with more than one language. Having staff who can communicate with children and families in their home language helps children feel understood and settled, supports their confidence and makes the transition into nursery life much smoother. It also means we can work more closely with parents to support every child’s early years learning and development.

We’re proud to be an inclusive and community-focused nursery. We offer both halal and non-halal meal options as part of our healthy, nutritious menus, so every family can feel confident that their child’s dietary and cultural needs are fully respected. Mealtimes are an important part of the day at Partou Wonder Years, where children develop independence, social skills and an understanding of healthy eating. Our Ofsted-rated Good curriculum takes account of children’s individual interests and builds on what they already know and can do, with a strong focus on school readiness so children leave us confident, capable and prepared for the next stage of their education.

We have developed strong and meaningful links with our local community, which play an important role in enriching the children’s experiences. We regularly welcome visitors from the local community centre, family hub, Sikh temple, library, and fire station into the nursery, giving children valuable opportunities to engage with familiar people and learn about the world around them. In turn, we are often invited to attend events hosted by these community organisations, helping children feel a sense of belonging and connection to their local area. These partnerships support children’s social development and help to build confidence as they interact with the wider community.

We understand that working families need flexibility, and we offer flexible session options to help parents balance childcare around their working patterns. Real-time communication through our nursery app keeps families informed and connected throughout the day with updates on meals, activities and their child’s progress. Parents tell us they value feeling involved in their child’s learning, and that open, regular communication is a big part of what makes the nursery feel like a genuine partnership between home and nursery.

Partou Wonder Years has been a trusted part of the Coventry community for over 20 years. Families return with younger siblings, and many of our parents tell us they chose us because of recommendations from friends and family. That kind of trust is built over time, and our team take it seriously every single day.

If you’re looking for a nursery in Coventry that truly understands and reflects the diverse community it serves, with flexible hours, excellent communication and a real focus on giving every child the best possible start, we’d love to welcome you to Partou Wonder Years Day Nursery & Pre-School.

Funded childcare

Partou Wonder Years Day Nursery & Pre-School is proud to offer funded childcare places

Funded childcare is a government incentive fulfilled by Local Authorities which aims to provide financial support for eligible families accessing childcare at an OFSTED registered setting. Partou Wonder Years Day Nursery & Pre-School work with Coventry Local Authority to apply childcare funding for eligible families.

Funding typically covers 15 or 30 hours per week for the 38 term weeks of the year across a maximum of 10 hours a day which will be applied in different ways depending how many weeks of the year your child is in childcare:

  • Children who are in year-round childcare will receive “stretched” funding. This means that their 15/30 hours over 38 weeks will be stretched over 51 weeks of the year so children accessing year round childcare at Partou Wonder Years will receive 11.17/22.35 hours of funded childcare per week.
  • Children who have term-time only childcare places will receive 15/30 hours funding per week over 38 weeks of the year. Term-time only places are limited and are subject to availability.

Government funding for childcare only applies to the care fee (as described above). Meals & snacks and consumables fees are fully chargeable for all sessions including funded.

Many families are eligible for government funded childcare, see our childcare funding guide for more information.
