Set within two acres of beautiful grounds, Partou Woodlands Park is a highly rated day nursery and forest school which offers a unique Early Years experience for families in Apperley Bridge, Greengates and the surrounding Bradford area.
Our Forest School has been newly refurbished for 2026 and is designed to enrich early years pre-school learning through nature, exploration, and outdoor play .Our Forest School sessions are led by a qualified Forest School Lead, ensuring all activities are carefully planned, age-appropriate, and delivered in line with Forest School principles and safety guidance. We have an outdoor classroom which provides a safe and inspiring space for children to learn in all weathers and a log burner to keep the area warm and welcoming during cooler months, allowing Forest School sessions to continue comfortably year-round.
We have also invested in new Forest School resources, supporting activities such as den building, natural crafts, storytelling, and teamwork. There is an enhanced mud kitchen, which now includes a dedicated digging area to encourage sensory play, investigation, and hands-on learning. Forest School offers many benefits for young children, including building confidence, resilience, independence, and a strong connection to the natural world.
Exploring natural environments is great for little learners of all ages so our nursery has separate outdoor space for children of all ages including our greenhouse area. Gardening is great for children and their early years development as it strengthens motor skills, encourages social skills as well as fostering a sense of responsibility and respect for the environment.
Our indoor learning environment is well-resourced and has a home-from-home feel to encourage children to feel safe and confident. Our warm and friendly nursery team are highly regarded by families, and our reviews often mention the care they take to learn about children’s interests and experiences and then tailor these to curate learning activities which are engaging and encourage children at every stage of their development.
Children at Partou Woodlands Park also enjoy a variety of extra-curricular activities such as football sessions and “Songdrawing” which combines singing, drawing, movement and storytelling to encourage the development of fine motor skills and self-expression and boost children’s self-esteem and confidence.
If you are looking for an exceptional nursery with a state-of the art forest school where children are nurtured to grow their skills, confidence and a love of the outdoors, we think you’ll love Partou Woodlands Park Day Nursery & Forest School in Apperley Bridge!

Funded childcare
Partou Woodlands Park Day Nursery & Pre-School is proud to offer funded childcare places
Funded childcare is a government incentive fulfilled by Local Authorities which aims to provide financial support for eligible families accessing childcare at an OFSTED registered setting. Partou Woodlands Park Day Nursery & Pre-School work with Bradford Local Authority to apply childcare funding for eligible families.
Funding typically covers 15 or 30 hours per week for the 38 term weeks of the year across a maximum of 10 hours a day. Children who are in year-round childcare will receive “stretched” funding. This means that their 15/30 hours over 38 weeks will be stretched over 51 weeks of the year so children accessing year round childcare at Partou Woodlands Park will receive 11.17/22.35 hours of funded childcare per week.
Government funding for childcare only applies to the care fee (as described above). Meals & snacks and consumables fees are fully chargeable for all sessions including funded.
Many families are eligible for government funded childcare, see our childcare funding guide for more information.

For us at Partou, childcare isn’t just a job, it’s a journey – one where every child leads us in a unique new direction.
As part of the Netherlands’ largest childcare group, we’ve access to world-leading expertise in learning and development, so you can be confident your child will benefit from an experience as unique as they are.
Of course, care is as much about empathy as education, and ours is a child-led approach that emphasises building confidence and curiosity – so that every child in our care has the freedom to flourish.
Care
We’re more than just a team; we’re a close community driven by our passion for childcare, and our commitment to each individual child’s development. We know that by working together, we’re stronger.
Compassion
In our community, compassion isn’t just a word; it’s our way of life. By embracing our differences, we make our community more diverse and vibrant. We build strong, supportive relationships with the children and each other, based on trust and understanding.
Continuous learning
We believe strongly in development, for the children in our care and for ourselves. Through continuous learning, we help our team and our children reach their full potential. Together, we make a positive impact, in our communities and across wider society.
