Why choose Worcester Royal Day Nursery & Pre-School?

Our purpose-built nursery, with dedicated parking spaces, is located on the premises of Worcester Royal Hospital can be accessed directly from the main road. We offer high-quality flexible childcare and early years education for children of parents/carers working for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust as well as fixed sessions for families throughout the local community.

From our fun-filled playrooms to our large grassy outdoor areas, every aspect of our setting has been designed to engage and excite children. Our playrooms are spacious and purposely planned for 3 different age groups; under 2s, 2 year olds and 3-4 year olds. This enhances early years development as children are encouraged to explore the age-appropriate environment around them. Each age group has access to their own individual outside learning environment as well as a large grassy outdoor area for everyone to explore together. Outdoor play is an important part of the early years’ curriculum as provides opportunity for important motor and social skill development, confidence and resilience building as well as problem solving; all whilst children are having fun and learning through play.

We have a long-standing nursery team including the manager Lisa who has been at the nursery for over 20 years. The consistency of our team means we have lots of families who decide to keep coming back with their growing families which is always a joy. We are also lucky to welcome new team members who bring along lots of creativity and care. Our caring and attentive Nursery Team put a great deal of thought into the activities they set up for the children throughout the day, drawing upon their interests to help them develop with a child-led approach that is as unique as they are. You can take a look at our activities on our Partou Worcester Royal Day Nursery & Pre-School Facebook page.

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible care and education to children, we’re aligning our terms and conditions with all updates coming into effect from 1st May 2025.  You can access these full terms and conditions here.

Funded childcare

Partou Worcester Royal Day Nursery & Pre-School is proud to offer funded childcare places

Funded childcare is a government incentive fulfilled by Local Authorities which aims to provide financial support for eligible families accessing childcare at an OFSTED registered setting. Partou Worcester Royal Day Nursery & Pre-School work with Worcestershire Local Authority to apply childcare funding for eligible families.

Funding typically covers 15 or 30 hours per week for the 38 term weeks of the year across a maximum of 10 hours a day which will be applied in different ways depending how many weeks of the year your child is in childcare:

  • Children who are in year-round childcare will receive “stretched” funding. This means that their 15/30 hours over 38 weeks will be stretched over 51 weeks of the year so children accessing year round childcare at Partou Worcester Royal will receive 11.17/22.35 hours of funded childcare per week.
  • Children who have term-time only childcare places will receive 15/30 hours funding per week over 38 weeks of the year. Term-time only places are limited and are subject to availability.

Government funding for childcare only applies to the care fee (as described above). Meals & snacks and consumables fees are fully chargeable for all sessions including funded.

Many families are eligible for government funded childcare, see our childcare funding guide for more information.

Always welcoming, friendly and understanding when my son brings multiple cars into pre-school. They have good food (my son eats mostly two dinners there - sometimes three). Creative and messy play - so it is good and fun.

We've had a wonderful experience during our two children's time spent at Partou. The staff have been very caring and supportive to our children. It's sad our time has ended with such a friendly, safe nursery and wish the staff and the company all the best in the future.
