Little Dragons Day Nursery has been open since 2013 and our Nursery Manager, Bambi, has been with us since the start along with several other members of the Nursery Team. This team embodies the Partou value of “continuous learning” and were awarded the Training and Development Award at the National Day Nurseries Association Awards in June 2024 due to their dedication to continually improving the early years educational experience so children develop with independence and curiosity.
Inclusion is very important to the Little Dragons Nursery Team and we are proud to have been recently awarded the Dingley’s Promise Accreditation showing our commitment to providing high-quality early years education for children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our Nursery Manager was also a finalist for the SENCo (Special Education Needs Co-ordinator) Award at the 2024 National NMT Nursery Awards.

Hi I am Bambi,
I have worked at Little Dragons since we first opened in 2013 and have been managing the nursery for the past five years.
Having worked in childcare since the age of 19, I love watching children develop into independent and curious individuals. As a manager, I love teaching and training my team members on how to deliver the highest levels of care, believing that you can always learn and improve.
I hold two foundation degrees: one in Leadership & Management and another in Early years. When completing my second degree, I took a specialist year in SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities). Caring greatly about providing inclusive spaces where children, families and team members all feel able to express themselves, I was recently announced as a finalist for the SENCo Award at the 2024 National NMT Nursery Awards!
In my spare time, I like to travel and read, I love to cook & spend time with my friends & family as well as swimming.

Upon registration, you will be asked to pay a £75 registration fee (non-refundable) to reserve your child’s nursery place. This registration fee is payable by all families, unless taking up a Government funded only place (see terms and conditions for details).
What’s included in our fees?
Our full fees are clearly broken down into care, meals & snacks and consumables fees for full transparency.
Care fees include: trained, qualified team members taking care of your child, regular updates about your child and their progress at nursery, a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities tailored to the needs of your child, and use of the nursery building facilities.
Meals & snacks fees cover the cost of all food and drinks whilst your child is in our care. Meal and snack times are a very important part of Partou nursery life, learn more about how we make food and nutrition enjoyable and educational for children in our care.
Consumables include; important daily care items needed such as nappies, wet wipes and sun cream.
Discounts
Only one discount can be applied at any time:
- 5% discount for eldest child for siblings.
- 5% discount for Blue Light Card holders.
Other key information
- We’re closed on Bank Holidays
- We close at 4pm on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.
- Charges apply across 52 weeks of the year, including Bank Holidays.
Funded childcare
Partou Little Dragons Day Nursery & Pre-School is proud to offer funded childcare places
Funded childcare is a government incentive fulfilled by Local Authorities which aims to provide financial support for eligible families accessing childcare at an OFSTED registered setting. Partou Little Dragons Day Nursery & Pre-School work with North Yorkshire Local Authority to apply childcare funding for eligible families.
Funding typically covers 15 or 30 hours per week for the 38 term weeks of the year across a maximum of 10 hours a day which will be applied in different ways depending how many weeks of the year your child is in childcare:
- Children who are in year-round childcare will receive “stretched” funding. This means that their 15/30 hours over 38 weeks will be stretched over 52 weeks of the year so children accessing year round childcare at Partou Little Dragons will receive 10.96/21.92 hours of funded childcare per week.
- Children who have term-time only childcare places will receive 15/30 hours funding per week over 38 weeks of the year. Term-time only places are limited and are subject to availability.
Government funding for childcare only applies to the care fee (as described above). Meals & snacks and consumables fees are fully chargeable for all sessions including funded.
